Now it's time for the Dolce
A sweet dessert ends the Italian meal, but it can be just well espresso
Espresso is an individually made coffee dose served in a small heated cup.
All espressos are coffee but not all coffee is espresso. The espresso coffee is roasted very dark and consists mostly of the Robusta café. The Arabica café is used to bring more character and bring crema.
The espresso dose (20-30 ml) has about 7-8 g of finely ground, dark roasted coffee through which 92 degrees water is pressed at 20-30 seconds at 9 bar pressure. It is easiest to evaluate the end result visually and, of course, by tasting. The actual fine tuning is done by adjusting the coffee grinding rate and a force used to toss the coffee in to gruppo, which should be about 15 kg.
Milk coffee is mainly enjoyed in the morning. Cappuccino is drunk before 11 am, after which the cappuccino becomes a latte.
At the end of the meal you can well enjoy espresso, but in the boot country, the natives look at the tourist for a long time, slowly and amused if the meal ends with milk coffee.
Now it's time for that Tiramisu! And don't forget the cocoa powder as a garnish on top the dessert!
