What is a Helsinki Sailing Tour?

A Helsinki sailing tour is a small-group experience that takes you into the unique archipelago surrounding Finland’s capital. Instead of large motorized cruise ships, sailing tours use wind-powered yachts, offering a quieter, more personal, and more authentic way to explore the sea.

Typical sailing routes include:

  • Suomenlinna sea fortress (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
  • Vallisaari nature island
  • Pihlajasaari recreational island
  • Helsinki coastline and skyline

Sailing is one of the most immersive ways to experience Helsinki.

Sailing vs Traditional Boat Tours in Helsinki

Not all sea experiences are the same.

Sailing tours:

  • Small groups

  • Interactive experience
  • Flexible routes

Sightseeing cruises:

  • Large groups
  • Fixed routes
  • Motor-driven
  • Limited interaction

Sunset Sailing Tours combines the authenticity of sailing with a premium, small-group experience.
